On Sept 30,2007, at the Bayview Games Club, former GTCL Director of Communications, Mark S. Dutton received 2007 Achievement Award signed by Barry Thorvardson, the President of Ontario Chess Association.
Mr. Dutton has been dedicated to chess in Toronto for many years. I believe chess people appreciate what Mark did in Toronto. Now Mark will move to British Columbia, we will miss you and wish you to has new achievements under your new sky! Thank you, Mark !

I would just like to add that Mark has also been a dedicated Ontario Governor - a position I have asked him to keep until the next AGM of the OCA. Mark will surely be missed in these parts. I hope he and Christine enjoy Victoria!

I would like to take this moment to thank the Dutton Family for their dedication to chess in our community. I have been involved in chess since 1989 and can honestly say that Mark Dutton is one of the very best TD's that I have ever dealt with. BC is very lucky to get such a prominent TD/IA.
I would like to wish the Dutton's the very best going forward and hopefully we will be hearing good things coming out of BC..all the best and take care
P.S. just because you are moving to B.C doesn't mean that you are allowed to cheer for the BC lions..You better keep true and wear the White and Blue proudly..GO Argo's !!
