Hi,
I will stay in Toronto for a few months and want to play chess tournaments in a chess club.
I couldn't figure out which chess club is easy to access by subway on the club list. I am in the beginner level.
Thanks.
Bayview Games Club - the address has changed. I can not remember the right one this time.
Scarborough Chess Club - take subway to Kennedy station (the last stop on green Bloor-Danforth line), then TTC 43 bus.
Oriole Chess Club - located near the 'red' Sheppard line's Don Mills subway station.
Willowdale Chess Club - to come to this club you may go to Downsview or Sheppard stations and then go by bus, e.g., TTC 84 or 196 to Bathurst/Sheppard intersection.
Hope it will help to choose your club during your stay in Toronto.
On April 10th, 2008 Steve Downs (not verified) says:
I live in Stouffville (north of city). I am willing to drive in GTA.
Time control is negotiable.
Either 40/120+60 or 90 +:30 per move or something like that
I would like these games to be rated.
